the end!

the end! I've been somewhat slack at updating blogs for the last two weeks. it was all go and updating blogs didn't occur to me, i was too caught up in developing my gun and experimenting in substance.

look at that cheddar

so, in retaliation to interim, ive decided to focus entirely on the red panda assault rifle. im making it in 3d in maya, then zbrush, then mari t get a hyper realsitic looking piece and then pushing the base model through mari and mudbox to get a nice low poly game version.

i aloso want to animate the hi res version to shoe reloading system.

please excuse the spelluin, this keyboard is shit.

A new breed of boy toy

This weeks greatest achievement has been this pretty pice of machinery, the Red Panda assault rifle. based on some of my earlier sketches (which are in a file somewhere in  my desk) the Red Panda is a huge advancement in modern warfare. a silent, dependable machine gun with semi auto, burst fire and full auto capabilities. it sports an impressive 100round clip and trip system later targeting (more to come on that design later) swell as its on inbuilt cooling system and cycle generator to put extra torque on each bullet.

Not to mention the big filthy (interchangeable) cauterising bayonet on the front.

some pre arm designs

So these are the basic first gen ideas for James left and right arms. the right arm has a knife under it that is capable of slipping the handle straight into James palm.

The Shield (might be a bit too advanced for 1991, i may need to dumb it down it down a bit) is a magnetic shield generator that propels opposinf forces of matter only; that is to say it won't propel lighting or light or fire, only matter.

Yea that sounds too advanced.
